Valentine’s Day means cards and flowers for some and sweatpants and Netflix for others. But one thing it, and any day, can mean for all of us is cocktails. We’ve partnered with Shaker & Spoon to bring you three cocktails for V-Day – whether you’re bringing the romance with your S.O., having a night in with your best friends, or protesting the whole thing all together.

Above a Persimmon by Tyler Hudgens for Shaker & Spoon

2 ounces gin (Tyler recommends Tanqueray No. 10 Gin)

3/4 ounce Shaker & Spoon’s spiced persimmon cordial

3/4 ounce lemon juice

1 dash of angostura bitters

Grated nutmeg

Time After Thyme by Pamela Wiznitzer for Shaker & Spoon

1 ounce grapefruit juice

3/4 ounce Shaker & Spoon’s thyme cucumber syrup

3 dashes celery bitters

2 ounces bubbly (Pamela recommends Ruffino Prosecco)

1 grapefruit zest

Bloom and Bee by Kellie Thorn from Empire State South

2 ounces cognac (Kellie recommends Pierre Ferrand 1840)

3/4 ounce rose-scented honey syrup (to make combine 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 teaspoon rose water)

3/4 ounce lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Pour into a coupe glass (if you have one otherwise any glass will do). Sprinkle with edible dried rose petals.

Whatever Valentine’s Day means to you, cheers to that!
